Club Photos

In 2016, we started two new fund raising ventures. One was to provide "helmet and leathers" parks for motorcyclists visiting Superbike (motorcycle) events during the Summer and Autumn, at sites all over the U.K.; and the second was the first Langley Park Beer Festival, held on the last weekend of September.  Both will become annual projects moving forward into 2017 and beyond.

Our first motorcycle event was at Snetterton in Norfolk in July and the picture below shows some of the helmets and other motorcycle clothing neatly and safely stored for visitors to the event.

After this initial success we went on to run a number of  similar events at both Silverstone and Brands Hatch.

On our April walk we were joined by members of both Beckenham and Bromley clubs

On our February walk we were again joined by members of Beckenham club.

Our annual Cobweb Walk on 1st January was very well attended, including members of two other Rotary clubs.
The photo below shows most of them - but some people like to hide!

Despite the rain on Friday 14th November 13 of us, excluding the dog, assembled on Keston Common for a two
hour walk, ending at the pub for a pint and/or lunch.  It actually stopped raining just as we set off.  The photo
below shows 11 of us (excluding the photographer), the thirteenth arrived too late to be included!

On Friday 25th September 2015 we celebrated the 40th anniversary of our club with a dinner and cabaret.
Four of our five founder members who still belong to the club were awarded long service awards for 40 years
service presented by the District Governor Ray Dixon.

The photo below shows Frances Ward of St. Christopher's Hospice making a presentation to our own
David Stoneham to celebrate the 25th Fun Walk.  David, with the help of our and other Rotary clubs organised
and ran the first Fun Walk and has been fully involved ever since.

In 2014 our club donated  £1,000 to Demelza.  Below President that year, Mike Martineau is seen below
presenting the cheque to Emma from Demelza.

The photo below is of several of our members at the very successful St. Christopher's Fun Walk on
17th May 2015, which raised about £200,000 for the Hospice.

The photos below were taken at our very successful "Boat Race Night"

The pictures below were taken at our very successful 50's and 60's Night on 28th February.

The picture below is of an intrepid group of walkers on our New Year 2014 "Cobweb Walk", which we do every
year on the 1st January, come rain or shine!  The group includes some friends from Beckenham Rotary Club.
Needless to say we ended the walk in a pub.

The photo below was taken at the concert given by the St. Christopher's Hospice Choir as a thank you to
all the Rotary Clubs who help with their Fun Walk
